Gebrüder Weiss, the biggest private company in Austria in transport and logistics business (GW) announces the launch of railway transport services in Romania '’The launching of railway transport services is consistent with the development of services provided by Gebrüder Weiss throughout the region and reflects the maturing of logistics operations in Romania’’, said Thomas Moser, regional manager GW.

‘’This decision is also expressing our confidence in the economic recovery and return to growth in Romania and the region in the coming months and years and we want to strategically position ourselves versus our competitors when the return to economic growth will stress the existing road infrastructure, as in recent years.

Rail transport represent significant advantages where it is appropriate, for example - no pollution of the environment, is suitable for large volumes of cargo, and on long-distances the transport costs could be lower than for road transport. Furthermore on railway there are no traffic jams!’’
