Quantum Software, together with Ceramika Tubadzin, were awarded the “Innovative logistics product” emblem within the yearly “Logistics Operator of the Year” contest. The award was granted for Quantum’s implementation of “Wave Picking”, i.e. an innovative product collection model at Ceramika Tubadzin.The joint efforts of Quantum and our customer, which currently allows for the management of the picking and shipments of large quantities of goods with a limited number of picking spaces, was very highly evaluated by the jury of the contest.
Apart from the improvement of logistics processes itself, the implemented solution also allows for the significant reduction of storage space necessary for operation. It should be noted that the awarded innovation is a result of joint concepts and the work of Quantum and Ceramika Tubadzin, which illustrates how important – in these times - the close cooperation of a solution provider with the customer actually is. It is also proof that the partner approach to many currently executed projects can be a source of many interesting innovations, yielding tangible financial benefits.

Implementaton of Qguar YMS at Mondi:
Quantum software has been completed deployment of the Qguar YMS in the Mondi Swiecie S.A.
Mondi Swiecie is one of the five European leaders in manufacturing corrugated case materials (CCM) and industrial bags. Mondi Swiecie S.A. is a member of the Mondi Group. The Company was set up in 1961 under the name of “Zaklady Celulozy i Papieru” (Pulp and Paper Mill) in Swiecie. In January 1991, a state-run-company - Zaklady Celulozy i Papieru in Swiecie – was transformed into a joint-stock company wholly owned by the State Treasury.
In April 1997, 15% of the Company’s shares were floated on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In August 1997, a majority parcel of shares was sold to a key investor, Framondi NV located in the Netherlands and belonging to the international Group Franstchach/Mondi. In November 2004 the Franstchach Group merged with the Mondi Packaging Europe Group into Mondi Packaging Group with the joined brand and logo. Resulting the merge, in 2005 the Company’s name changed from Franstchach Swiecie S.A. into Mondi Packaging Paper Swiecie SA. In 2008, the Company was renamed Mondi Swiecie S.A.
The Company produces in accordance to three certified management systems. In particularly, FSC-CoC Certificate assures that the wood used in production process is only from high quality of forest management. More than three quarters of its production is focused at the foreign customers.
Implemented system manages the processes of transport in the premises of the enterprise. Precise planning of time windows for loading and unloading vehicles allows the existing resources of the enterprise to be used optimally and minimizes any unnecessary work accumulation. Recent and full knowledge about the vehicles on the premises of the enterprise is also a huge advantage when planning every next logistic event. Moreover, offering the possibility of gathering detailed data on vehicles allows more accurate decisions to be made within the enterprise’s vehicle maneuver area, which are waiting for unloading or loading.

In the next implementation stage, the Qguar Yard Management system will manage the pedestrian traffic within the enterprise.
