Preparations are in full swing for the 14th Central European logistics and transport congress, EASTLOG 2011, to be held May 26-27, 2011, at Prague’s TOP Hotel. This year logistics managers may look forward to a two-day program that will give them a great deal of interesting information from the logistics industry over the past year. The program will include workshops on specific topics, company presentations, and the always popular Logistics Business Mixer in the evening. And the Business Arena now features a Technology Park and Cafe Meeting Point.

THE PROGRAM AND WHAT’S NEW
Twelve program sections in two days – this highlights the 14th year of the congress. The BUSINESS ARENA, the central location with the greatest concentration of logistics and partner exhibition stands, offers guests two new features: the TECHNOLOGY PARK, where congress partners will exhibit eye-catching technology, machines, and equipment, and CAFE MEETING POINT, a quiet corner of the Business Arena where partners are able to meet with potential clients over a cup of coffee. And in the Business Arena you will also find the LOGISTICS EMBASSIES, whose representatives from Central and Eastern Europe are ready to provide useful information on the business environment in their respective countries. As always, the most anticipated part of the congress is the MAIN CONFERENCE PROGRAM, a full day of interesting lectures, case studies, new trends, and closing panel discussion. Held at the same time as the main conference program, the specialized WORKSHOPS focus on effective warehouse management and intermodal transport services, in addition to other areas. The program is rounded out by CORPORATE SEMINARS and COMPANY EVENTS, prepared by the congress partners themselves to inform attendees about new products and solutions, and the HR LOGISTICS FORUM, seminars for students and a discussion forum for HR and line managers on issues concerning human resources in the logistics sector. The congress’s first day is capped off by the ever-popular LOGISTICS BUSINESS MIXER, an evening VIP event giving logistics professionals the opportunity to network. This year’s program finishes with LOGISTICS CENTER VISITS, a chance to see logistics “in action.”


THE TENANTS’ PRIZE
EASTLOG is kicking off the congress’s 14th year with the contest for the best logistics park – the Tenants’ Prize. ATOZ EVENT has already opened registration for the contest’s third year, and the leading Czech developers and their parks will again vie for this prestigious prize, which has become a congress favorite. A hallmark of the contest is that the tenants themselves judge the logistic parks by participating in a comprehensive survey covering a wide array of factors affecting business operations at the leased premises. And developers receive invaluable independent feedback from their tenants. The winner of the Tenants’ Prize – the Best Logistics Park for 2011 will be ceremoniously announced at the 14th Logistics Business Mixer, to be held on May 26, 2011.
